The standard also regulates the following types of hearing protection: Earplugs, earmuffs, hearing protectors fitted on helmet, sound insulation suits.
The EN 352-1 standard refers to protective earmuffs, defined hearing protective devices that surround the auricle of the person wearing them with functional earmuffs. Especially in case of variable exposure to noise, a frequent application and removal of the device makes the use of protective earmuffs strongly recommended.
