Standard EN 1496 specifies the requirements, test methods, marking and information supplied by the manufacturer for the rescue lifting devices.
Rescue lifting devices that comply with this European standard are used as components of the rescue systems and can be combined with other components, e.g. rescue abseil devices, standard EN 341, or retractable fall arrest devices, standard EN 360.
