- full body protective clothing with liquid-tight connections between different parts of the garment (Type 3: liquid-tight clothing) and, if applicable, with liquid-tight connections with component parts, such as hoods, gloves, boots, visors or respiratory protective devices, which may be specified in other European standards;
- full body protective clothing with splash-tight connections between different parts of the garment (Type 4: splash-tight clothing) and, if applicable, with splash-tight connections with component parts, such as hoods, gloves, boots, visors or respiratory protective devices, which may be specified in other European standards;
- garments with partial body protection, which offer protection to specific parts of the body against the permeation of liquid chemicals.
Partial body chemical protective suits, which only protect against the penetration of chemical liquids, fall within the scope of standard EN 13034.
